In Nauru, two opposition MPs are due to appear in court today in relation to anti-government protests last week.

Former president Sprent Dabidow and Squire Jeremiah were arrested on Friday night and are waiting for their bail hearing.

The MPs are part of a group of five who have been suspended from parliament for more than a year.

Former magistrate Peter Law, who was expelled along with the chief justice Geoffrey Eames in January last year, says these latest developments are very worrying.
